Roger: Did your grandchildren arrive yet?

라저: 손자들 아직 안 왔어?

Jim: Yes. They came yesterday afternoon.

짐: 왔어. 어제 오후에 왔어.

Roger: Did they fly in?

라저: 비행기 타고 왔어?

Jim: No. My son and my daughter-in-law drove them in from Las Vegas.

짐: 아니. 아들 내외가 라스베이거스에서 차로 데려왔어.

Roger: So you've got the whole clan staying with you?

라저: 그럼 온 가족이 너하고 있는 거네?

Jim: Yes. And it's pretty crowded right now at my place.

Roger: How long is everyone staying?

Jim: My son and his wife are heading back to Las Vegas on Monday.

Jim: They're staying with me for a month.

기억할만한 표현

*pretty (형용사 앞에서): 매우, 무척.

“It was pretty hot last week in Los Angeles.” (LA는 지난 주에 무척 더웠어.)

*at (one’s) place: (누구의) 집.

“We play poker at Jim’s place every Thursday night.” (우린 매주 목요일 밤에 짐네 집에서 포커 쳐.)

*head back (to a place): (어디로) 돌아가다.
