Tom: Did you have a good time visiting your in-laws?
탐: 처갓집에서 재미있었어?
Dick: I made the most of it.
딕: 최대한 잘 지냈지.
Tom: That doesn't sound very good.
탐: 별로 좋았던 것 같지 않은데.
Dick: Well my father-in-law is a know-it-all so it's difficult having a conversation with him.
딕: 그게 장인 어른이 뭐든 다 아는 분이잖아 그래서 이야기 나누기가 껄끄러워.
Tom: So what was good about your visit?
탐: 그럼 처갓집 가서 좋았던 거 뭐 있었어?
Dick: I took advantage on the golf course.
딕: 골프 코스는 잘 써먹었지.
Tom: How much did you take from him?
탐: 장인 어른한테 얼마나 땄어?
Dick: I won enough to buy a new driver.
딕: 드라이버 새로 살 만큼은 땄어.
Tom: I'm sure he didn't like that.
탐: 장인 어른은 안 좋네.
Dick: No he didn't but he still thinks he can beat me.
딕: 그렇지 안 좋으셨지. 그래도 여전히 날 이길 수 있다고 생각하셔.

*make the most of (or from) something: 최대한 활용하다.

*a know-it-all: 모르는 게 없는 사람. 뭐든 아는 척 하는 사람.
