(Brent and Hal are talking in the evening … )

Hal: You should have been in class today.

Brent: Why? Did I miss something?

Hal: Yeah. The teacher called on Justin to answer her question.

Brent: What did she do?

Hal: She called on someone else. Then she asked everyone to hand in their homework but Justin wouldn't do it.

Brent: Why not?

Hal: I guess he hadn't done it. Anyway the teacher handed out yesterday's homework and Justin tore it up.

Brent: Wow! What did the teacher do then?

Hal: She kicked him out of class.

Brent: I’m not surprised.
